Woman shares how her brother’s friend lied to the family to claim ownership of his apartment after his d€ath

A woman has narrated how her brother’s de@th revealed the true nature of his supposed friends. 
She said that watching late actor Alex Ekubo’s friends, IK Ogbonna and Yomi Casual, standing by his family following his de@th reminded her of how her brother’s friends did the opposite. 
Narrating her personal experience, Amarachi Esther Chukwudi wrote on Facebook:

 “Watching the way Alex’s friends, especially IK and Yomi, have stood firmly by his family since his passing has brought back memories I have spent years trying to live with. 
“My late brother, Chibuike Raymond, fondly called Senator, died in a motor accident on 28th December 2009 while returning home from Abuja. At the time, I was serving in Keffi, and because it was the festive season, life was moving so fast. He had just moved into a new apartment that December, and unfortunately, none of us knew the exact location before tragedy struck. 
“After his burial, we desperately searched for information about his new home. We called everyone we thought would know—his closest friends. One after another, they all claimed ignorance. They said they had no idea where he lived. We believed them. 
“Then God intervened. 
“A young lady saw his poster on our gate and stopped by. Through tears, she told us that her brother had helped Senator move into his new apartment with his truck. For the first time, we had hope. 
“When I returned to Abuja, her brother took me to the estate. We walked straight to the apartment, only to find signs that someone was living there. After persistent knocking and with the entire estate gathering around, the door finally opened. 
“Standing inside was the same friend  Emeka who had repeatedly told us he didn’t know where my brother lived.
Not only had he lied, he had moved into the apartment and was claiming ownership of it. 
“I still remember the look on his face when the caretaker pointed at me and asked if he knew who I was. In that moment, every lie collapsed. 
“That day taught me a painful lesson: death does not reveal your enemies; it reveals your friends. 
“Some people will honour you even after you’re gone. Others will see your absence as an opportunity. 
“Seeing Alex’s friends stand by his family reminds me that good friends still exist. Friends who understand that loyalty does not end at the grave. 
“May we all be blessed with people who will protect our name, our family, and our legacy when we can no longer speak for ourselves. 
“My brother, Senator, it’s been many years, but I still remember. Continue to rest in peace. 
“Emeka!  Enyi mere Enyi ya.”
